The UNEP invites you to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Life Cycle Initiative

On Thursday 23 June 2022, from 13:30 to 15:30 CEST, the United Nations Environment Program will be hosting a webinar to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Life Cycle Initiative.

The event will take stock of how life cycle approaches have accelerated the transition to sustainable consumption and production. It will also discuss how the initiative and the broader life cycle community could improve the application of this knowledge and tools to pick up the pace of the sustainable and circular transition.

You will have the opportunity to learn and share your experiences with experts from governments, businesses and the scientific community during the panel session.

The Life Cycle Initiative launched by the UNEP promotes life cycle knowledge, revealing the unintended trade-offs between the social, environmental and economic impacts of circular approaches. This means that public and private decision-makers must use life cycle thinking in order to foster progress towards sustainable production and consumption patterns.
