The World Circular Economy Forum 2018 closes its sessions in Japan

The World Circular Economy Forum 2018 has just closed its sessions in Yokohama, Japan. It attracted over 1,000 reformers of the global economy from over 80 countries. It was hosted by the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and Japan’s Ministry of the Environment, and co-organised with selected international partners. Among the distinguished speakers: Japanese Minister of the Environment Yoshiaki Harada; Finland’s Minister for the Environment, Energy and Housing Kimmo Tiilikainen, Vice-president of the European Commission Jirki Katainen and former Brazilian Environment Minister and Co-Chair of the International Resource Panel of the United Nations Environment Programme Izabella Teixeira.

The forum discussed economic benefits and social equity of the circular economy, sustainable lifestyles and consumer solutions, energy and climate, global value chains and trade, as well as the mobility revolution and circular solutions for reducing plastic waste (for more info click here).
