The Learning Hub collects practical and actionable knowledge for circular textile businesses, community Facilitators, and researchers, urban planners and policy makers, based on the research and activities conducted by the FABRIX project.

This project explored the connections between urban space and business ecosystems, and encouraged local, circular urban production in the textile and clothing industry.

The Hub includes over 30 resources, structured into five main topics:

  • Business & viability: this includes an overview of circular business models for textile and clothing businesses, with a sector-specific business model canvas. There are also videos on scaling an urban SME and DPPs for the textile value chain, and a guide on avoiding greenwashing.
  • Circular production: includes a roadmap for 3D fashion design, a guide to eco-design and a policy roadmap for a local, circular EU textiles sector
  • Urban industry design: includes a definition of and roadmap for industrial symbiosis.
  • Networks & communities: includes a guide to organising a hackathon and a portfolio of the ten Athens SMEs awarded through the FABRIX project and the collaborations their matchmaking produced.
  • Mapping: includes guides to how mapping works and how to spot trends in mapping data.
