Join the Rediscovery Centre, along with experts from the EPA, the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, Christopher Hill of FoodCloud, Chef Conor Spacey of FoodSpace, Kenneth Keavey of Green Earth Organics, and more for their Fighting Food Waste Workshop on 15 March at 11:00-12:30 GMT via Zoom.
This conversation about food waste will be an opportunity for community groups and anyone interested in growing, cooking or climate action to share your views and make sure your voice is heard as part of the Food Waste Prevention Roadmap consultation, which is open for feedback until 24 March.
Through this virtual workshop, you will have a chance to hear from experts about how food loss and waste occurs in different areas and what plans are in place to prevent this. You will then be invited to connect with others and discuss your ideas on tackling food waste in one of four breakout rooms focusing on: food loss in production & manufacturing (e.g. farming, processing), food waste in retail and distribution (e.g. supermarkets, transport), food waste in restaurants and food services, and food waste in the home. You will be invited to join the breakout room of most interest to you on the day; depending on attendee numbers, you may be assigned to a room.
