Digital Product Passport & traceability: Enabling sustainability through effective policy

This event is part of an ongoing series organised by the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) together with the Division of Circular Economy & Tracing of the I-SENSE Group. This year's event is organised in collaboration with the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS). The series brings together stakeholders from various sectors to exchange insights, address challenges and highlight the critical role of Digital Product Passports (DPPs) in advancing circular economy practices and driving progress towards climate neutrality.

In addition to fruitful discussions, the event will feature a series of interactive workshops fostering dialogue between policymakers, researchers and industry representatives. The three workshops will explore key governance challenges surrounding DPP data management, data models, interoperability and policy compliance, along with DPP policies that affect the economics of green solutions.

This year’s edition will spotlight the Wood2Wood Project, an initiative dedicated to the transformative valorisation of wood waste. Using DPP, W2W promotes a circular economy by extending the lifecycle of wood-based materials and diverting them from landfills and incineration facilities.

Registration (attendance is free of charge but registration is required. Please note that the event will be recorded) and programme. This event will take place at 9:00 - 16:30 CET on 27 November. It will be held in hybrid format (Centre for European Policy Studies, Place du Congrès 1, 1000 Brussels and online).
