The Horizon Europe project DECISO (DEvelopers of CIrcular SOlutions) aims to support European cities and regions as they develop financing schemes for circular economy initiatives. The project's final event will show how European cities and regions overcome financing barriers impeding circular economy initiatives.

Four pilot projects will showcase their circular solutions: 

• Hamburg's innovative cooperative business models which mobilise local funding and private investors;
• Northwest Germany's rainwater solutions;
• West Macedonia's post-lignite biomass valorization projects;
• Alentejo's circular agrifood models.

The event will bring together policymakers, investors and solution providers, including representatives of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) and Regional Innovation Valleys. It will look at how these financing models can be replicated across Europe.
