The NONTOX project – Improving circularity of hazardous plastics: an online seminar

The NONTOX (2019-2022) EU Horizon 2020 project evaluates technological and economic possibilities to increase the recycling of hazardous plastics in Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), End-of-Life Vehicles (ELV), and the Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) sector.

This online seminar titled NONTOX – Improving circularity of hazardous plastics focuses on ecodesign guidelines to promote circularity of hazardous plastics in e-waste, ELVs, and construction waste. The event will be held on 19 September 2022 from 13:00 to 14:30 EEST (from 12:00 to 13:30 CEST).

During the seminar, which is aimed at designers, industry professionals, product developers, polymer engineers, plastics recyclers, environmental managers and researcher, the NONTOX work will be presented, along with opportunities and examples of best practices.

The seminar is organised in the framework of the initiative Designs for a Cooler Planet 2022 of the Aalto University, which consists of a series of annual exhibitions highlighting research-based bold, experimental and creative projects that have the potential to transform our lives.
