Plastic packaging taxes as a circular economy tool
The Centre for Economic Transition Expertise (CETEx) is a research and policy centre working towards the ambitious reforms required to deliver sustainable, inclusive and resilient economies and financial systems across Europe and emerging markets.
This event will launch its new policy brief on Plastic packaging taxes as a circular economy tool.
It will explore how plastic packaging taxes can support the transition to a circular economy, drawing on emerging evidence from the UK and EU.
The launch event will include a presentation of the research findings and a panel discussion with speakers from academia, civil society and the plastics industry. It is designed for representatives from business, policy and academic organisations who are looking to stay ahead of circular economy challenges and seize new opportunities.
This policy brief launch is part of CETEx London Climate Action Week 2026. It will take place in person at 11:30-13:00 CEST on 25 June at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
