Rethinking value chains for European nature-positive economy
This event will bring together exemplary initiatives and projects from across Europe which are reimagining value chains and demonstrating novel circular systemic solutions.
Agricultural residue, urban wastewater, end-of-life vehicles, plastics and many other resources keep being undermined and underutilised across Europe. However, they have considerable potential to be the backbone of industrial symbiosis, circular systemic solutions and enablers for Europe to be climate neutral and resource efficient.
This event will explore novel circular systemic solutions in three sessions:
- CCRI projects showing the way.
- Drivers for the uptake of circular systemic solutions, specifically public procurement, business models and strategic approaches to embedding circular value chains in society.
- Regions on the frontline: a selection of regions will share their stories and experiences.
It aims to combine the proposed circular systemic solutions with insights from speakers and participants working on uptake and regions leading the way. This will highlight how circular systemic solutions can contribute to Europe’s resilience, competitiveness and nature-positive economy.
This event will take place in person and online, at 10:00-13:00 CEST on 25 June. It is an EU Green Week partner event. Registration.
