The European Community of Practice Hubs4Circularity connects actors from industry, regions and cities, H4C initiatives, and research and development organisations interested in sharing knowledge, experiences, tools and materials to progress faster towards industrial and industrial-urban symbiosis and circular value chains.

They are organising a workshop exploring the role of local and regional public authorities in promoting industrial-urban symbiosis. 

Local and regional public authorities have various tools and instruments at their disposal. However, there is still a lack of clarity on how these can best be employed and how the role of public authorities can be leveraged effectively. 

This workshop will provide an interactive space where participants can discuss the variety of roles and instruments open to cities and regions, while sharing their challenges, experiences and insights in enhancing local industrial-symbiosis activities.

The discussion will be based on case studies by public authorities and local businesses, presented at the start of the workshop.
