Innovating a circular economy for soft plastic in Ireland

The Environmental Protection Agency has launched a challenge called 'Innovating a Circular Economy for soft plastic in Ireland' under Enterprise Ireland’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) programme. The challenge focuses on reducing/eliminating soft plastic waste generated through the provision of school meals in Ireland.

The SBIR programme creates a unique opportunity to connect public sector bodies with small businesses to provide innovative solutions to societal problems. The process followed is a pre-procurement process to contract for research & development for innovative solutions.
