Sustainable products initiative - give us your feedback!

The Sustainable products initiative, which will revise the Ecodesign Directive and propose additional legislative measures as appropriate, aims to make products placed on the EU market more sustainable.

Consumers, the environment and the climate will benefit from products that are more durable, reusable, repairable, recyclable, and energy-efficient. The initiative will also address the presence of harmful chemicals in products such as:

  • electronics & ICT equipment
  • textiles
  • furniture
  • steel, cement & chemicals.

This roadmap is open for feedback until 2 November 2020  (midnight Brussels time). Feedback will be taken into account for further development and fine tuning of the initiative. The Commission will summarise the input received in a synopsis report explaining how the input will be taken on board and, if applicable, why certain suggestions can't be taken up.

Feedback must adhere to the feedback rules. Give your feedback here.
