The Booster du Réemploi is a project set up by A4MT and involving companies in the construction sector keen to lessen its significant carbon footprint. With the support of Construction 21, this project is now launching the fourth Trophées Bâtiments Circulaires (Circular Building Awards). More than 80 exemplary building projects geared towards reuse were submitted during the first three rounds.

Projects may be submitted from 8 April to 5 July 2024 by any natural or legal person with the authority to represent the project and with the agreement of the project owner.

This year, the Trophées Bâtiments Circulaires will be highlighting large-scale and, above all, reproducible buildings. The competition is open to all types of building (public or private, residential, tertiary, commercial, industrial, cultural, health-related, etc.), public space developments and infrastructure or reuse projects.

To be accepted, circular projects must:

  • be located in France (metropolitan or overseas), Belgium, Canada, Switzerland or Luxembourg, and
  • be delivered no later than 15 July 2024.

For the Private, Public, Infrastructure & Exterior Development categories, projects will be evaluated using three main strands:

  • Reuse
  • Reproducibility
  • New practices and innovation.

For the Circular Design category, projects will be evaluated according to the seven pillars of the circular economy. For each of the pillars, the selection panel will assess the level of performance, reproducibility and innovation of the measures implemented:

  • Responsible consumption
  • Functional economy
  • Extending the lifespan of materials
  • Industrial and territorial ecology
  • Eco-design
  • Sustainable sourcing
  • Recycling.
