Balticfloc is a Latvian wastepaper recycling company which uses the resulting cellulose fibre in a range of products.  

These products are: 

• Ecowool: this thermal and sound insulation material is made from cellulose fibre and a natural salt admixture. It is blown onto the desired surface, and is breathable, fire resistant and not allergenic.  

• Mulch and mulch pellets: these pellets are suitable for hydroseeding, when water, cellulose mulch, minerals and grass seeds are bound together in a slurry and sprayed over the soil. As well as seeding a lawn, this process contributes to erosion control.  

• Fibre and pellets for asphalt mixtures: this additive prevents bitumen runoff. 

• Absorption material: this material can be used in wet and dry environments to mop up environmentally hazardous liquids such as oils, petroleum products, solvents and chemicals. The material is scattered and then collected once it has absorbed as much as it can.  

• Pet litter and bedding: this product does not contain chemical additives and so is not allergenic. It absorbs smell as well as liquid, and can be recycled or composted.
