Description

Biomyc develops next-generation products and packaging made from mycelium composite and other renewable, bio-based materials. Mycelium composite is a fully compostable material grown from mushroom mycelium and agricultural plant residues, transforming biological waste into high-value products that can replace fossil-based plastics and other non-renewable materials.  It is readily compostable, flame and water resistant and has good thermal insulation qualities.

The company helps businesses design, prototype, test and commercialise sustainable products through an integrated approach combining research and development, eco-design, product engineering and manufacturing support. Biomyc also works on improving the performance of mycelium-based materials by incorporating production waste, natural additives and innovative manufacturing techniques, further advancing circular material solutions.

By collaborating with industrial partners and premium brands, Biomyc demonstrates practical applications of circular bio-based materials in sectors including packaging, automotive, construction and consumer products.

Main results
