CCRI hands-on online workshop: How to introduce consumption-based emissions into your circular agenda?
Cities and regions across Europe face similar challenges when implementing the circular transition. Over the past year, practitioners shared real-life experience—what worked, what didn’t, and where they got stuck—through peer exchange in the CCRI communities of practice.
The CCRI hands-on online workshops build directly on that practitioner exchange. Each workshop focuses on a key implementation challenge identified in the CCRI communities of practice and translates those insights into practical tools, methods and examples that participants can apply in their own context.
This session will look at Consumption‑based emissions (CBE) which show the climate impact of what cities consume, not just what they produce. It will introduce what a Consumption‑Based Emissions (CBE) inventory is, what it can (and cannot) tell you, and how cities are beginning to use CBE insights to inform circular economy action.
Using practical examples from Greater London and Copenhagen, it will show how cities can take first steps despite limited data, capacity or experience and turn insight into action. Insights from CCRI Communities of Practice will show that this perspective helps cities prioritise better, align climate and circular economy goals, and focus efforts where they can make the biggest difference.
This webinar will take place at 14:00-16:00 CEST on 24 September. Participation is free, but registration is required. Places are limited to keep the workshop interactive and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Check the registration link for up-to-date availability and secure your spot.
