MERLIN (Increasing the quality and rate of MultilayER packaging recycLINg waste) is an EU Horizon project focusing on improving the recyclability and circularity of multi-layer plastic packaging. 

This final event will present the innovative solutions co-created during the project. These solutions are aligned with the EU’s plastics strategy and support the transition towards a fully-fledged circular economy.

The conference will feature presentations from project partners, including ITENE, the European Commission and leading research institutions.

Participants willl find out about:

• Advanced sorting and delaminating technologies for multilayer packaging
• Innovative recycling processes and the creation of new packaging materials from recycled waste
• Economic, environmental and legal considerations surrounding the implementation of these solutions.

They will also be able to visit the MERLIN showroom at the headquarters of project partner ITENE, where the project’s technologies will be showcased.

The conference will take place at 09:00-18:00 CET on 27 November, in Valencia and online. It will be in English and there is no charge for participating.
