International Conference on Sustainable Development 2026: Call for papers!

The European Center of Sustainable Development (ECSD), in collaboration with the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT), will host the 14th International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD 2026) on 9 to 10 September 2026 at Roma Eventi – Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome, Italy.

The call for papers is now open! ICSD 2026 is an excellent opportunity to present your projects and discuss the latest results in the field of sustainability science.

The theme is Creating a Unified Foundation for Sustainable Development: Research, Practice and Education. Participants will be able to share ideas, present research findings and discuss professional issues relevant to sustainability science. It will take a multidisciplinary approach, integrating diverse fields and perspectives to address the core and interconnected questions of sustainable development. It will be a collaborative platform for scholars, educators and practitioners from all professional disciplines who share a commitment to sustainability. The focus is on a holistic perspective, exploring how the environmental, cultural, economic and social dimensions come together.

You are invited to submit an abstract relevant to the ICSD 2026 programme:

  1. Economic sustainability

    Financial sustainability, SMEs, microfinance, emerging economies, international trade, circular economy, green financing, public-private partnerships, economic resilience, sustainable business models, data-driven economic strategies.

  2. Environmental sustainability

    Water and soil conservation, climate change, disaster risk reduction, renewable energy, food and environmental legislation, biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture, waste management, carbon-neutral strategies, urban ecosystem restoration, mathematical modeling for environmental challenges.

  3. Socio-cultural sustainability

    Sustainable urbanism, education, governance, human development, psychology, sociology, cultural heritage preservation, social equity, community engagement, indigenous knowledge systems, health and well-being, public health systems.
