Revision of EU rules on End-of-life vehicles – Your feedback is valuable!

EU environmental rules aim to ensure that end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) are managed sustainably.  They seek to eliminate hazardous substances in cars and require that most ELV parts and materials are reused or recycled.

This initiative by the European Commission proposes improved collection, treatment and recycling of ELVs. It aims to ensure consistency with the European Green Deal objectives by encouraging the car industry to adopt a sustainable model for the design and production of cars.

The Commission would like to hear your views. You can give your feedback until 19 November 2020  (at midnight, Brussels time).

Your feedback will be taken into account for further development and fine tuning of the initiative. The Commission will summarise the input received in a synopsis report explaining how the input will be taken on board and, if applicable, why certain suggestions can't be taken up.

Feedback received will be published and therefore must adhere to the feedback rules.
