Description

Cirtrace is a technology provider which enables companies to track their product lifecycle end-to-end. In this way, they can implement circular principles and comply with EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) regulations.

It specialises in digital product identification and lifecycle analysis, powered by an advanced software-as-a-service architecture and cloud-based infrastructure. Its DPP platform features immutable data logging and dynamic QR code integration unique to each product.

Their tailored solutions help companies cope with the technical hurdles involved in rolling out DPPs and enable them to meet requirements under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation and the EU Battery Regulation.

Its B2B software-as-a-service platform ensures end-to-end transparency across the entire product lifecycle. Its solutions dovetail into businesses' existing extended producer responsibility and product lifecycle management systems, enabling them to centrally manage supply chain traceability, data security and full compliance with global regulatory standards.

They have two DPPs:

  • The battery passport digitally records the source of minerals used, cell chemistry, carbon footprint during production and the battery's second-life potential. It provides cell chemistry and capacity data, proof of responsible raw material sourcing, and recycling and end-of-life guidelines.
  • The textile product passport covers fabric origin, chemicals used and repairability. It tracks water consumption and chemical usage, maps yarn-to-store supply chains and gives washing, care and recycling instructions.

As well as enabling businesses to comply with DPP requirements, Cirtrace’s website also includes three guides:

  • A guide to DPPs, explaining the requirements, who is covered, key dates and how you can build a battery passport system that works across your value chain.
  • A guide to the current requirements for companies exporting batteries to the European market.
  • A guide on the new ecodesign rules and environmental sustainability requirements for companies exporting products to the European market.
