Faerch is a global food packaging company that develops recyclable, high-performance food packaging solutions and closed-loop systems for used food packaging materials. The company focuses on replacing linear “make-use-dispose” models with circular approaches in which food trays, pots and containers are designed for recycling and transformed back into new food-grade packaging.  

A central element of Faerch’s circular economy approach is its tray-to-tray recycling model. Through its integrated recycling activities, the company collects, sorts and recycles post-consumer PET food packaging into high-quality recycled PET (rPET), which can be used to manufacture new food-contact packaging. Its CIRPET+™ solution is produced from recycled PET pots, tubs and trays, helping keep valuable materials in circulation while reducing reliance on virgin plastics.  

Faerch contributes to circularity through design for recycling, development of mono-material PET packaging, investment in recycling infrastructure, and collaboration with food producers, retailers, waste operators and consumers. 

Another circular aspect of the company's operations is reusable packaging. It is strong enough to be used over and over, is adapted to existing filling, handling and return systems and can be customised.
