Description

Orbio has developed and launched a fully operational digital marketplace for buying and selling waste and by-products

The platform is ready to support transactions between waste generators and resource users. It enables material listing, company matchmaking and transparent communication to facilitate industrial symbiosis.

Companies can trade both industrial waste and secondary raw materials, including:

Industrial waste

  • wood and biomass residues (sawdust, wood offcuts)
  • food industry by-products and surplus materials
  • textile waste and production offcuts
  • plastic waste from industrial processes
  • construction and demolition waste

Secondary raw materials

  • recycled polymers or plastic granulates
  • recovered metals or processed metal scrap
  • recycled aggregates for construction
  • processed biomass for energy or industrial use
  • industrial by-products with potential reuse in other production chains

Seller Compliance Verification is a mandatory process for each company that wants to sell waste on the platform. This initial step confirms legitimacy, credibility and environmental and operational compliance.

Cargo Verification is an independent service. Buyers can request it during the purchasing process, in order to ensure the quality, compliance and integrity of the materials they will receive.

Main results
  • Orbio diverts waste from landfills and helps reduce reliance on virgin materials.
  • It enables measurable circular impact, aligned with European climate objectives.
