Description

Van de Sant designs and manufactures comfortable furniture which is made from plastic waste recovered from the ocean or the land.

Rather than using wood as a raw material, they opted to use waste plastic - after all, there may be a limited number of trees but humanity seems to have generated infinite plastic waste. The frames of their furniture are made entirely from plastic waste collected from land and oceans.

The fabric used for upholstry is also recycled: they work with ReBlend® and BIONIC®. ReBlend® makes circular fabric from post-consumer textiles and PET, while BIONIC® uses recovered plastic.

The collection now includes dining chairs, armchairs and sofas, all of them customisable.
