Sector-wide Circularity Assessment - construction
Sector-wide Circularity Assessment - construction
The CityLoops project was a Horizon 2020 project which ran from 2019 to 2023. It focused on circular economy solutions for bio-waste and construction and demolition waste (CDW).
Before devising tools to increase the circularity of a sector, the project needed to find a reliable way to establish the initial state of play. This Sector-Wide Circularity Assessment provides contextual information on six different CityLoops cities and their construction sectors. It illustrates how circular these sectors are through circularity indicators and a Sankey diagram, and analyses and interprets the results, presenting the limitations of the data used. Finally, it offers recommendations on how to make this sector more circular.
