Access Economy Summit

Across Europe, entrepreneurs, cities and researchers are already busy building the services that let people buy less and rent and share more, from libraries of things to rental platforms and sharing stations.

This will be instrumental in enabling Europe to meet its circular economy goals, while making life more affordable and community-driven for people. The challenge is making these services convenient, desirable and financially resilient enough to compete with a click on “buy now”, and no single sector can do that alone.

The Summit brings these sectors into one room for a day of keynote speaches, panels and breakout sessions on what it takes to make rental and sharing the obvious choice: more convenient, easier to adopt, financially viable and backed by cities.

It will be an opportunity to:

  • Meet the cities, businesses and researchers pioneering the access economy

  • Gain practical insights into making sharing and rental services convenient, viable and scalable

  • Build partnerships with access economy service providers, operators, experts and advocates across sectors and borders

The Summit is geared to municipal and governmental innovation, sustainability and circular economy departments, national, regional and EU policymakers, consumer-facing rental and sharing businesses, NGOs, researchers and access economy advocates.

It will also celebrate the work of three Interreg projects advancing the sharing and rental sector: Digital Kiosks, Access Hubs and Good Cities.

This event will take place in person and in English at The Hague on 23 March 2027. Register and see the programme.
