Stroller sharing: busy moms and dads can enjoy easier trips to the shops with Buggybooker
If car sharing could be a success, so could buggy sharing!
This thought led to Frank Verheijden championing the idea… and in 2014, Buggybooker started commercially sharing children's buggies.
In the run up to this moment, they prepared by collaborating with the city of Leuven on thorough trials with a test buggy.Time is scarce and experiences are becoming more valuable and young people want to use the time they have as efficiently as possible, with as little hassle as possible.
The starter package comprises 10 buggies. The buggies are rented out to cities and municipalities but there is also increasing interest from shopping malls, leisure and attraction parks. The respective managers can then rent out the buggies or offer them for free. In addition, the side panels for the buggies can also be rented out as advertising space.
In 2015, Buggybooker won the Ecodesign PRO Award of OVAM. The Buggy Booker is a convenience service that eases usage of public transport and urban mobility, access to shops or simply family trips.
