Horizon Europe project Up2Circ (Boosting the uptake of circular business model, product and process innovation) aims to accelerate and scale up the transition of European SMEs towards a circular economy. 

It has produced this catalogue featuring 70 success stories from 12 countries and 13 industrial ecosystems. It reflects a broad range of experiences across sectors such as manufacturing, textiles, agri-food, renewable energy and green chemistry. From reimagining product design and supply chains to extending product lifetimes, recovering materials and exploring new service-based models, the stories illustrate the many ways circularity can be put into practice.

Six circular business models - circular product design, circular supply chain, product life extension, recovery and recycling, product-as-a-service and the sharing economy - provide a framework for exploring these approaches. Each story offers valuable insights into how businesses can adapt circular solutions to their own needs and create lasting value.

The experiences of Up2Circ SME Ambassadors add a personal perspective, highlighting the companies and people contributing to Europe’s circular transition.
