Circular solutions for regions and cities – how to make them work: a #EURegionsWeek Info Session

The participatory info session Circular solutions for regions and cities – how to make it work will take place on Wednesday 13 October, 11:00 a.m.  (CEST) in the framework of the #EURegionsWeek.

Participants will learn more about the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI), which is part of the Circular Economy Action Plan and will implement circular solutions at the local scale to help deliver on the EU Green Deal. The CCRI offers possibilities for cities and regions, ranging from knowledge-sharing and technical expertise to financial opportunities.

Urban and peri-urban activities contribute to climate change, resource use and waste generation. In parallel, these areas provide cradles of innovation, socio-economic transformation and opportunities for creating sustainable and circular ecosystems and economic growth. Boosting circularity in cities and regions is a policy response to address systemic crises and the transition to a green recovery.
