Hailia’s patent-pending technology is transforming the seafood industry by upcycling fish sidestreams into high-quality, versatile food products. This technology can produce items with over 90% fish sidestream content - while being very tasty and suitable for a wide range of dishes.

The Circular Valley® Forum 2024 will bring together more than 1 400 people from industry, business, politics, science and civil society. 

They will evaluate the progress made in the transition to a circular economy, talk about solutions to current challenges and learn about new business ideas. As well as debate during the conference and over dinner, there will also be opportunities for bilateral talks.

The CIRCit research project aimed to help Nordic industry learn about and implement circular opportunities by developing, testing and implementing science-based tools.

It focused on six areas, and produced workbooks setting out tools and guidelines for the transition to a circular economy.

Nordic Circular Arena is a digital gathering place for circularity professionals in the Nordic countries

It is a freely accessible online platform, hosted by Nordic Circular Hotspot and co-funded by Nordic Innovation, and the first digital multi-stakeholder platform for the circular transition in the Nordic region.

Through the Arena, you can:

  • get and share circular information, knowledge and intelligence
  • find others working on circularity in your region and beyond
  • access circular economy projects and opportunities, reports and resources, networks, companies and organisations, events and much more.

Participants can g​​​​​​et involved in the circular transition by taking part in discussions, sharing their ideas, opportunities and information, and forging new circular connections.

The International Conference - Strategies toward Green Deal Implementation: Water, Raw Materials & Energy in Green Transition will be taking place for the fifth time this year. It will explore climate change and ways to prevent it.

Scientists and entrepreneurs active in the fields of water, raw materials or energy are invited to submit papers on studies covering environmental management, environmental protection and environmental engineering, with a focus on water, raw materials or energy.

Bio4HUMAN is a Horizon Europe-funded initiative working to solve solid waste management challenges in humanitarian settings.

This September, it will be holding a webinar on empowering the bio-based sector for solid waste management in humanitarian settings. The webinar will focus on the findings of their Humanitarian Needs Assessment Report and familiarise bio-based stakeholders with humanitarian settings and the challenges facing them in terms of solid waste management.

The REFLOW project sought to understand and transform urban material flows, and to co-create and test regenerative solutions at business, governance and individual levels to create a resilient circular economy. Projects were carried out in six pilot cities, covering areas such as textiles and energy from waste.
