PolyStyreneLoop project: pioneer demonstration plant to treat up to 3300 tonnes of polystyrene waste/yr as of 2018
The PolyStyreneLoop Cooperative is the European EPS/XPS industry’s closed loop solution for the recycling of polystyrene (PS) insulation foam waste.
This project employs a ground-breaking technology to dissolve PS foam waste while also allowing for the extraction and recovery of bromine from the restricted flame retardant chemical, HBCD, which can then be used again in the production.
Marketplace Hub maps raw materials markets and industrial synergy networks worldwide by both their locations and what material they trade. It aims to aid interested businesses to find where they could source or sell their materials secondary raw materials.
