Up2Circ is an international project funded by the European Commission’s Horizon Europe programme. The overall aim is to help European SMEs go circular.

The project assists SMEs: there are awareness-raising and training modules and information on how to apply for EU funding. The platform has prepared a catalogue of its success stories.

The platform is also building a network of stakeholders: people with access to many SMEs, expertise in a given sector and/or the circular economy, advanced technologies or social innovation. These people will have access to Up2Circ's tools for helping SMEs.

The website also has information on circular events. The project organisers have experience with assisting SMEs; with this project they are focusing on the circular dimension.
 

Valdelia collects and recycles furniture waste from French businesses. Its services are geared to:

• Owners of used, non-residential furniture, such as public and private companies, public authorities and services
• Valdelia members, such as removal companies and office furniture dealers

Valdelia enables professionals to meet legal requirements while also helping the environment, the economy and society.

Furniture which is still in good condition is reused by Valdelia's partners in the social and solidarity economy. The rest is used or recycled back into secondary raw materials.

A large range of non-residential furniture can be collected and recycled.

The Dutch circular procurement platform Versnellingsnetwerk Circular Inkopen has gone global with the English version of its website.

Aiming for a sustainable future, it shares Dutch good practices on circular procurement. Tailored to global stakeholders, the platform offers a step-by-step guide, role-specific advice and product-specific insights, emphasising supplier involvement.

Developed through multistakeholder collaboration and supported by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, it is a vital resource for a circular economy.

VCØB aims to guide, support and involve actors from the construction value chain in Denmark. They help identify issues and barriers to the circular economy in construction, through increased knowledge sharing and dialogue.

Ultimately, VCØB wants Denmark to have a flexible market for the circular economy. It is working on:

• gathering and providing technical expert knowledge, facts and figures on the circular economy for all actors in the construction value chain
• developing new knowledge and tools, both as part of their own activities and in collaboration with other networks and stakeholders
• conducting a number of activities, such as partnering with networks/projects, conferences, workshops and webinars.

Vlaanderen Circulair is the hub and inspiration for the Flemish circular economy. It is a partnership of policy makers, companies, civil society and the knowledge community taking action together. Its six core activities are:

• Bringing together partners to tackle circular economy challenges
• Creating knowledge to streamline policy-related research into policy measures for the circular economy in Flanders
• Speeding up innovation and entrepreneurship
• Assisting pioneers
• Connecting local, Flemish, federal and European policy making
• Embedding circular principles across Flemish civil society.

WaVa - Co-products Marketplace is a chemical exchange platform where professionals can sell their manufacturing co-products or buy raw materials. It matches up supply and demand.

Any industrial raw material, waste, by-product or manufacturing co-product can be traded on the WaVa platform, but its chief focus is managing and processing chemical by-products. It aims to help people achieve their circular economy objectives and thus reap the economic and environmental benefits.

WaVa is not recognised as a waste disposal facility; it simply connects buyers and sellers. It never actually takes ownership of the product.

WRAP is a global environmental action NGO transforming our broken product and food systems to create circular living for the benefit of climate, nature and people. It aims to embed circular living in every boardroom and every home.

For over twenty years, WRAP has delivered programmes to benefit the environment, from reducing CO₂ emissions and waste to restoring nature and enhancing people’s lives. It began in the UK in 2000 but is now global in scale.

Its goal is to drive the transition to a circular economy by keeping products and materials in use for longer, supporting innovation, adopting new business models and increasing the amount of material that is reused or recycled, as well as minimising waste and reducing the reliance on virgin materials.

Žiedine Ekonomika is a Lithuanian association promoting the circular economy. This non-profit organisation links up local, national and European public authorities with companies to help develop circular business models in Lithuania.

ZWE is the European network of communities, local leaders, experts and change agents working towards a better use of resources and the elimination of waste in our society. It advocates for sustainable systems; for the redesign of our relationship with resources; and for a global shift towards environmental justice, accelerating a just transition towards zero waste for the benefit of people and the planet.

The network now includes 35 members from 28 European countries and works with topics across the whole chain, from product design to reusability to end-of-pipe waste management solutions, and from the phase-out of plastics to waste trade and municipal zero waste strategies.

Part of its work is done in Brussels, influencing European legislation from product design to waste disposal.
