MarketPlace Circular Labs is an Interreg project in the north-west of the Iberian Peninsula (North and Central Portugal and Castilla y León and Galicia in Spain). It aims to give visibility to good practices and circular economy success stories developed by businesses and entrepreneurs in the region.

There is a private area where users can share products and services, along with ideas for projects and synergies. There is also a learning centre, and events and publications are listed in the News space.

The project is funded by the ERDF via the Cooperación Transfronteriza INTERREG V-A España Portugal programme. It aims to incorporate the circular economy into the business culture and to build new ideas into every stage of the value chain.

MaterialDistrict is a match-making platform in the field of innovative materials, connecting material manufacturers and distributors with creative professionals and providing designers with information about materials.

The categories of materials are:

• Plastics
• Other naturals
• Wood
• Metals
• Glass
• Coatings
• Ceramics
• Concretes
• Natural stones 

There are listings for each material, with tags such as "biobased" or "recycling", making it very easy to find a circular material. Manufacturers and suppliers can promote and sell their goods, and creative professionals can look for the material that is right for their project.

Mercado Organizado de Resíduos is a Portuguese online platform that can be used to trade different types of waste for recovery (with the exception of waste classified as hazardous by the general waste management scheme).

MOR provides the space for waste of all categories to be traded, whether for recovery or for disposal under the country's general waste management scheme. This includes transactions and exchange of by-products and recycled materials.

The Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente (Portuguese Environment Agency) has licensed MOR Online as the first integrated management platform in the waste market.

Nachhaltig.digital is a platform for stepping up dialogue on the sustainability and digitalisation of SMEs in Germany.

It provides a space for the exchange of ideas, products, solutions, inspiration and discussion - both online and offline. The platform helps companies to use digitalisation to make their business sustainable.

The platform has also focused on the circular economy. As well as providing a forum where companies can interact, Nachhaltig.digital informs them about digitalisation and the circular economy, answering questions and telling them about current trends.

The Nordic Working Group for Circular Economy is a working group under the auspices of the Nordic Council of Ministers. NCE's mandate includes contributing to activities and exchanges of information that will promote the transition to a circular economy in the Nordic Region.

NCE also wishes to influence the EU and global actors, for example by helping to identify solutions that will reduce consumption of raw materials, waste, emissions and energy by recycling products, including for new purposes.

NCE carries out projects on different topics related to the circular economy.

The Acceleration House aims to assist entrepreneurs with circular business ventures.

It connects business people with experts and knowledge, answers questions and provides advice, and does not charge a fee.

Its knowledge section includes tools, legislation and financing. The platform also organises events promoting matchmaking between supply and demand.

The Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) is a private business and employers' organisation representing around 20 000 companies in Denmark. They aim to provide the best possible corporate conditions for their member companies.

DI's network for circular economy (text in Danish only) aims to create a platform for companies that are interested in, working with or want to be updated on the circular economy. It organises three meetings a year, and is open to members of the Confederation of Danish Industry. 

Neue Effizienz is an institution for knowledge transfer and research in the area of energy and resource efficiency based in Wuppertal, Germany. As a regional association, it is funded by the municipalities, public utilities and regional economic development institutions of Wuppertal, Solingen and Remscheid.

It promotes innovation as well as science and technology transfer in the fields of energy, circular economy, new mobility and smart cities. bergisch.metall, a competence network for the metal industry, fouses on the circular economy; the bergisch.circular project assists the municipalities with the establishment of intermunicipal structures and initiatives supporting the circular transformation.

NICB:

• develops national and international research and innovation projects;
• provides various types of knowledge transfer in these research and innovation projects;
• increases the visibility of innovation and icon projects; and
• supports project and construction teams with the technical, contractual and financial aspects of the circular construction process.

Its key areas are modular construction, high-quality recycling, circular business models and circular contracting.

Nordic Circular Arena is a digital gathering place for circularity professionals in the Nordic countries. 

It is a freely accessible online platform, hosted by Nordic Circular Hotspot and co-funded by Nordic Innovation, and the first digital multi-stakeholder platform for the circular transition in the Nordic region.

Through the Arena, you can:

• get and share circular information, knowledge and intelligence
• find others working on circularity in your region and beyond
• access circular economy projects and opportunities, reports and resources, networks, companies and organisations, events and much more.

Participants can g​​​​​​et involved in the circular transition by taking part in discussions, sharing their ideas, opportunities and information, and forging new circular connections.
