ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability is a global network of more than 2500 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development and is active in 125+ countries. ICLEI Europe supports local governments in implementing the European Green Deal, the overarching EU strategy for climate neutrality, to build more resilient and equitable communities, and focuses onhow local governments can lead the transition to a circular economy.
ICLEI Europe supports and advocates for improved access to funding for local and regional governments to plan and implement sustainable development and so works with organisations such as the European Investment Bank to develop new financing schemes.

Holland Circular Hotspot is a private foundation that aims to accelerate the international transition to a circular economy.
It does this by connecting companies, knowledge institutes and (local) authorities, and supporting international collaboration and knowledge exchange on the Dutch circular economy.

ACR+ is an international network of cities and regions keen to promote sustainable resource management and accelerate the transition to a circular economy in their area and beyond.
They are working for a future with vibrant cities and regions where economic and ecological systems go hand in hand. This should be achieved by policies geared to fair distribution of wealth and resources and fair access to public services, guaranteeing positive effects on the environment and public health.
They welcome a wide range of stakeholders from Europe and beyond: from local authorities and city networks to NGOs, academics, private partners and consultancies.
CERC promotes the key objectives of the Circular Economy Action Plan in Romania, encouraging the development of new markets and business models, and contributing to economic growth and job creation.

producing studies on waste management
setting up partnerships with national and international bodies with a view to establishing programmes geared to implementing circular principles
organising events to promote the exchange of knowledge and good practices
communicating with local and central authorities on how the circular economy can benefit Romania's economy
promoting compliance with waste management rules, including the fields of recycling, reuse and alternative fuels
promoting the EU recommendations on green public procurement
The One Planet Network aims to implement the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP), focusing on SDG12. The network is comprised of thousands of individual members; six thematic programmes and their partner organisations; working groups; and over 140 national focal points for sustainable consumption and production within governments.
It has vast experience of and expertise in sustainable consumption and production, and houses a global repository of projects, policies, tools and resources.
Serving as the secretariat of the 10YFP, the United Nations Environment Programme facilitates the One Planet network.
CIRCULÉIRE is Ireland’s National Platform for Circular Manufacturing. It aims to help deliver circular business model innovation by unlocking the value that resides in an Irish circular economy.
It is an industry-led public-private partnership with 25 Founding Industry Members (MNCs and SMEs alike) which aim to become circular economy exemplars in Ireland.
The platform has an innovation fund dedicated to implementing systems-level innovation demonstration projects. It has developed various tools to help businesses go circular: the Circular Economy Infographic, the Circular Maturity Model and the Circularity Action Plan.
CIRCULÉIRE has also set up the CE knowledge library, a collection of good practices.
PREVENT Waste Alliance is an international think tank, connecting circular economy practitioners worldwide.
It was launched in May 2019 and serves as a platform for exchange and international cooperation. Organisations from the private sector, academia, civil society and public institutions work together for a circular economy.
Its goal is tominimise waste, eliminate pollutants and maximise the reuse of resources in the economy. It promotes waste prevention, collection and recycling as well as increased uptake of secondary resources.
The members take part in working groups on plastics, e-waste and batteries, and organic waste. The Alliance has also produced a toolbox on Extended Producer Responsibility for packaging.
Rcube is a Federation of French companies active in the reuse and repair sectors and covering a wide range of products and services (such as smartphones, computers, tyres, toys, electronics and bicycles).
The federation aims to develop the reuse sector and put it on a professional footing by promoting good practices, representing the sector vis-à-vis external bodies, fostering partnerships and innovation with various socio-economic stakeholders and generally advocating for the shift to the circular economy. It works with various French ministries, and currently has 400 members. These members provide mutual support through committees, working groups and meetings.
It is active in Paris, and has outreach offices in the regions of Hauts de France and Grand Ouest.
The Circular Economy for Flexible Packaging (CEFLEX) initiative is a collaboration of over 180 European companies, associations and organisations representing the entire value chain of flexible packaging. It wants all flexible packaging to be designed for easy collection, sorting and recycling, with valuable new markets and applications created for the recycled materials.
CEFLEX stakeholders represent the full value chain including: raw material producers (plastics, paper and aluminium foil), ink, coating and adhesive suppliers, film producers and flexible packaging converters, brand owners, waste management companies, recyclers, extended producer responsibility organisations and technology suppliers.
The EU-funded DigiCirc project aimed to digitalise the circular economy by building on the innovation potential of SMEs in three strategic areas: Circular Cities, Blue Economy, Bioeconomy.
Open calls for each domain were launched to select 45 consortia of SMEs. The consortia took part in one of the three acceleration programmes to transform concepts into robust business models, a process which was completed in 2022. DigiCirc Open Courses disseminate the contents developed for the three acceleration programmes.
