A critical review of the Circular Flanders partnership was conducted in 2023 at the request of its steering group. The report considered what the partnership has set in motion, what significant changes would not have happened without the Circular Flanders partnership, and what would make the partnership even more powerful.

This report takes stock of what Circular Flanders has achieved and what else it can do to promote the circular economy in very practical terms. It lists the projects and initiatives through which the partnership supports the circular transition.

Join the Innovative Sustainable Economy Mission of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme in Marseille on 18 and 19 June for interactive sessions and networking with like-minded people and organisations working for a more sustainable Mediterranean region.

The ECESP's Coordination Group stars in a video! It's an overview of just what the circular economy means to them.

Located in Motala in southern Sweden, Site Zero can handle 200 000 tonnes of plastic packaging each year. Thanks to cutting-edge technology (fully automated process, real-time optimisation, artificial intelligence), it is able to recycle up to 12 types of plastic or waste. Find out more!

The Booster du Réemploi, with the support of Construction 21, is launching the fourth Trophées Bâtiments Circulaires (Circular Building Awards). Projects may be submitted from 8 April to 5 July 2024!

This year, the Trophées Bâtiments Circulaires will be highlighting large-scale and, above all, reproducible buildings. The competition is open to all types of building (public or private, residential, tertiary, commercial, industrial, cultural, health, etc.), public space developments and infrastructures or reuse projects.

The Plastics Technology Centre AIMPLAS continued to increase its activity on the circular economy. In 2023, it presented 206 projects on the subject, provided more than 1100 technological services to companies and participated in 76 training and conference activities.

This redoubled activity went hand in hand with an increase in people and facilities carried out based on environmental sustainability criteria in conjunction with an emissions reduction plan that enabled the Centre to obtain the REDUZCO seal from the relevant Spanish Ministry.

The GO-GRASS White Paper for grassland opportunities demonstrates innovative and diverse ways of considering surplus grass and grasslands as new resources for the benefit of society, the environment and businesses. It shows the importance of a supportive business environment that encourages innovative, grass-based businesses.

The GO-GRASS project aims to create new business opportunities in rural areas based on grassland valorisation, and to support their replication throughout rural communities in the EU. Since October 2019, the project has connected 22 partners from eight countries, which are developing small-scale demonstration sites for a circular agrifood system in four EU countries - Denmark, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands.

The 6th Refill & Reuse Trade Fair will take place on 13-14 May in Paris, in the heart of the Parc Floral. It's an opportunity to find out about the world of refill and reuse and to learn more through masterclasses, conferences and discussions with over 75 speakers from various sectors.

CircularB - Implementation of Circular Economy in the Built Environment aims to develop a common circularity framework for buildings and to facilitate knowledge exchange through webinars. The first webinar will showcase research activities promoting circularity in the built environment, including an innovative approach to earthquake waste and a guidance tool for implementing circularity and sustainability practices in construction.
