The Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia has developed a Roadmap for the circular economy in Serbia, a document that aims to bring together, connect and promote all those actors whose knowledge, innovativeness and creativity can contribute to a faster transition to the circular economy.
The roadmap seeks to encourage the private sector to use circular business models and to motivate industry to create new jobs, as well as to inspire a shift in business operations through the introduction of innovative and sustainable solutions. The roadmap has been developed by the Circular Economy Platform for Sustainable Development in Serbia project, which was initiated and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
TOMRA is the world leader in reverse vending solutions. It provides an automated method for collecting, sorting and handling used beverage containers for recycling or reuse. TOMRA has approximately 105 000 reverse vending machines in more than 100 countries.
Turuta is a project for mutual exchange and enrichment. Starting in 2010 as an experimental microeconomy project, it led to the "turuta market", based on a social currency called turuta (a traditional military march played during Carnival parades). This is used to pay for local goods and services, promoting local production and exchange. Each partner in the turuta market has an online account.
It is a living project being developed by the members of the local ecological economic ecosystem at Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona.
ReThink is a platform promoting a sustainable and circular economy in Ukraine.
It provides very readable information on the circular economy and presents circular projects taking place in Ukraine. These include 'Safe, Sustainable, and Swift Reconstruction of Ukraine', an innovative project dedicated to the sustainable reconstruction of Ukraine using low-energy "Green Building Materials" technologies.
The publication Towards A Circular Taiwan - 66 Circular Stories showcases 66 circular projects in Taiwan, which involve over 360 practitioners and partners. With a foreword by the President of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the book covers 4 main topics:
agro-food and biomass
textiles and plastics
construction and transportation
electronics and chemistry.
The book also showcases a "Circular Economy Transition Roadmap for Enterprises" which examines the WHY, WHAT and HOW elements in favour of a transition to circular economy. For each topic a chart of material flow is provided in order to show readers trends and opportunities in each specific sector.
Circular Norway is a politically independent organisation that works nationally to transform a linear to a circular economy. On behalf of its members, the association works politically to strengthen framework conditions and increase the pace of change.
Circular Norway helps its members to make better use of their resources and strengthens their competitiveness in the national and international market. Through practical help, expertise and knowledge networks, it makes the transition to a circular economy both easier and more profitable.
The network has produced visual guides to explain the principles of circular economy for a Norwegian audience.
As part of theCircular Economy Action Plan, the Commission has adopted EU food donation guidelines in order to facilitate the recovery and redistribution of safe, edible food to those in need. The guidelines have been developed in consultation with the EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste.
The Guide to Circular and Green Economy in the local world was published as part of the 2016-2019 Business and Green Economy Economy Plan for Local authorities promoted by the Network of Cities and Peoples towards Sustainability. This guide is based on the experience of its authors as well as municipalities participating in the Workshops organised by the Generalitat of Catalonia.
Catalunya Circular was launched on 9 May 2018 in Barcelona. It aims to become a benchmark for the circular economy in Catalonia.
As well as providing useful knowledge and information on the circular economy, Catalunya Circular helps raise awareness about the work done by Catalan businesses and society. These initiatives are geolocated on an interactive map and can be selected using a search engine that allows users to look for projects by keyword and/or type of economy.
The website also provides information on circular events and publications.
