Fab City Challenge is an initiative launched in 2014 by the then mayor of Barcelona, challenging cities to become self-sustainable by 2054. The project has now expanded into a sustainable cities network working on the digital transition, localisation and regenerative economy. One focus is combating food waste and using fresh produce which would otherwise have been thrown out.
Members have access to knowledge exchange, network events, research opportunities and engagement with like-minded cities around the world. They meet once a year at the Fab City Summit, where new cities also join the Network.
Distributed Innovation Workshops are also organised, where participants learn about various areas of innovation and sustainability.
CIRCLES is a platform dedicated to disseminating circular economy solutions in the Eastern Netherlands.
It encourages entrepreneurs to participate in the green transition, promoting their sense of ownership in the transition process. It offers a space for stakeholders to interact and exchange views on circular economy – digitally or physically - or simply a space to establish partnerships.
Several organisations – public, private and NGOs – interact in a range of ways, including workshops, publications, opportunities to access finance. One of the initiatives, for instance, consists of a space to submit ideas. If viable, cooperation with regional universities can be established, and entrepreneurs can collaborate to reach solutions.
The Sustainable Procurement Platform is managed by ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability. It provides up-to-date news, case studies, events and guidance on sustainable procurement from across the world.
Its focus is sustainable and circular procurement. Circular procurement involves considering the whole lifecycle of products throughout their supply chain and ensuring that the products and services acquired generate benefits not only for the buyer, but also for the environment, society and the economy.
The platform showcases replicable sustainable, circular and innovation procurement approaches and strategies. Its resource centre contains over 200 case studies setting out the methods used, the obstacles overcome and successes achieved in implementing sustainable public procurement.
Sitra works with partners from different sectors to research, trial and implement bold new ideas that shape the future. It aims to make Finland a pioneer in sustainable well-being.
It is a future-oriented fund which creates preconditions for reform, spurring everyone towards making a change and providing opportunities for co-operation.

Circular Pointis a service hub providing circular economy solutions for companies and organisations. It was set up by Geonardo, a company which aims to solve complex societal challenges by providing cutting-edge solutions.
Circular Point aims to make its clients more profitable and efficient, while creating a positive environmental, social and consumer impact.
It offers training sessions for companies during which the company's employees are taught how to apply circular principles to its operations, improving both its environmental and financial performance. The hub also works with institutions, local governments and NGOs, showing them how to go circular and convince their target audience of the merits of this shift, and with individuals.
The Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) is an international, non-profit think-and-do tank that works with businesses, policy makers, partner organisations and civil society to deliver a good life for all. They are experts in sustainable solutions and aim to mainstream sustainability.
CSCP is active in fields such as social innovation, sustainable product portfolio and footprint assessments. It provides policy advisory services rooted in scientific research and hands-on experience, and develops focused research and evaluation through real-time prototype testing in a holistic living lab format. It also conducts training and capacity building.
Holland Circular Hotspot is a private foundation that aims to accelerate the international transition to a circular economy.
It does this by connecting companies, knowledge institutes and (local) authorities, and supporting international collaboration and knowledge exchange on the Dutch circular economy.

ACR+ is an international network of cities and regions keen to promote sustainable resource management and accelerate the transition to a circular economy in their area and beyond.

The Remanufacturing platform is designed to help with the development of remanufacturing activities.
It provides resources on remanufacturing and the circular economy, includes toolkits and links to relevant publications.
Set up in 2014, Remanufacturing aims to promote remanufacturing and associated activities for product life extension. Within circular economy value recovery cycles, products can be REused, REpaired, REnovated, REmanufactured or REcycled. The aim is to reuse end-of-life products and components in new or upgraded products.
Remanufacturing has created a website describing the advantages of and barriers to starting up and developing remanufacturing activities, with examples and methodologies.
